Fly North Theatricals is seeking two non-equity actors for our production of the new play, “The Invention Of Lightning.” FNT is a 501c3 nonprofit staging non-equity productions in a professional environment. All performers are compensated by competitive stipend.

Synopsis
“When you talk through the wires, the wires can hear you.”
The last gasps of the Pony Express whimper under the shadow of the newly completed transcontinental telegraph. Messages can now cross the country in mere minutes. In the middle of it all are two men, operating a remote repeating station in the middle of the Nevada desert. Two men who don’t want any help, don’t want to share their secrets, and don’t suspect the elemental danger lurking in the wires.
Characters (Age and identity describe the character, not necessarily the actor)
Bill Naughton: Former Pony Express rider, now aspiring writer working on a novel about his triumphs on the trail, has a secret. Male,18-25
Horace McCall: Experienced lineman, has been working with the telegraph since the beginning, believes electricity and spirituality come from the same place, has a secret. Male, 35-55

Take #10 toward Hampton-Gravois TC to the Gravois/Jefferson stop. Cross Gravois, then walk 500 feet south on Jefferson. (~10 minute ride, 1 minute walk)
Take the #30 toward Shrewsbury-Landsdowne to the Arsenal/Jefferson stop. Walk three blocks north on Jefferson, just past Lynch St. (~20 minute ride, 10 minute walk)

Take #11 toward Civic Center TC to the Jefferson/Lynch stop. We’re just north of the intersection, across the street. (most direct, most frequent, ~30 minute ride, 0 minute walk)
Take the #30 toward Civic Center TC to the Arsenal/Jefferson stop. Cross Jefferson then walk three blocks north. We’re just past Lynch street on the left. (~30 minute ride, 10 minute walk)
Driving:
From North City, West End, North County, West County, St. Charles or the Metro East, take I-64(“40”) or I-44 to Jefferson and head south. Travel just past Gravois and we’re on the right (west) side of the road, just before the next intersection (Lynch).
From South City, South County, or Jefferson County take I-55 north to Arsenal Street, then turn left (west). Travel about 1/2 mile to Jefferson and make a right. Travel three blocks north and we’re on the left (west) side of the road just beyond Lynch St.
There is an attached parking lot on the north side of the building that is free to use.
