JOURNEY TO THE PAST! Based on the beloved 1997 animated movie, Anastasia: The Musical is the spectacular 2017 Broadway adaptation about discovering who you are and defining who you’re meant to be featuring all the songs you love— and a few new ones! 

Under the direction of Starling Founder and Artistic Director, Angela Healy, Anastasia: The Musical is led by a strong youth company from all across the St. Louis region, who is sure to delight parents and the community alike. 

As the children’s theater wing of Fly North Theatricals, The Starling Company is shares the mission of promoting financial accessibility within the theater arts. TSC is dedicated to not only providing high-quality theatrical experiences for young St. Louis-area performers, but to make those experiences completely free for all youth participants.

Simply put: No performance fees. Ever.

CREATIVE TEAM

DIRECTOR
Angela Healy

Angela is a St. Louis-based performer, director, and choreographer as well as the co-founder and artistic director of The Starling Company, Fly North Theatricals’ fee-free children’s theater. Recent notable credits include the roles of Eva in At The Wedding (West End Players Guild), Millie Owens in Picnic (Hawthorne Players). Her other recent credits at Fly North/The Starling Company include Little Miss Sunshine: The Musical (Choreographer), A Christmas Story (Co-director/Choreographer), and The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee (Choreographer).

MUSIC DIRECTOR
Colin Healy

Colin Healy is a dog-owner based in the city of St. Louis who is also a composer, music director, artistic director of Fly North Theatricals, co-host of the podcast Overarching and co-owner of Greenfinch Theater and Dive. Starting at age 15, as a touring singer/songwriter, Colin's work as a recording artist has received radio play nationwide and spans five full-length studio albums including We Are The Wild Things (2012), was recorded by The Republik at Adam Schlesinger (Fountains Of Wayne, Crybaby: The Musical) and James Iha's (Smashing Pumpkins) legendary Stratosphere Studios in New York and was produced by Brian Viglione (Dresden Dolls). His work as a composer includes 4 works of musical theatre: ForgottoniaThe GringoMadam, and Big Machine. Madam has been nominated for a total of eight St. Louis Theatre Circle Awards and The Gringo was one of the headlining acts at the 2018 St. Louis Fringe and set the record for best-selling show in festival history. Healy has also served as the Artist-In-Residence at both St. Louis University (2020-21) and the Center Of Creative Arts (2022). 

COSTUME DESIGN
August Wonsmos

BFA in Theatre Design and Technology from UWSP-Stevens Point. They are an award winning cosplay sewist with 10 years of experience making costumes. Her prior costume design credits include "Dial M for Moore Menotti" for the UWSP Opera Workshop.

CHOREOGRAPHER
DeKylah Epps

DeKylah Epps is a versatile choreographer, performer, and dancer, trained in musical theater, ballet, hip-hop, jazz, contemporary, Graham, tap, heels, vogue, praise & worship, and West African dance. She has choreographed for youth programs, community events, and performance projects, including Pass the Mic, a youth suicide prevention conference. Returning to Fly North Theatricals as a choreographer, DeKylah was once a student of the company, bringing her full circle to this production.

As a performer, DeKylah has appeared with The Muny in Chicago, Beautiful: The Carol King Story, and Rent, as well as in COCA productions including Billy Elliot, Hairspray Jr., Mary Poppins, and Once On This Island Jr. She has also danced professionally in music videos and live shows for artists including DaBaby, Lil Durk, and Smino. With a passion for storytelling through movement and a strong stage presence, she brings energy, creativity, and precision to every performance and piece she choreographs.

TECHNICAL DIRECTOR
Bradley Rohlf

Bradley Rohlf is a multi-hyphenate theater artist and musician, and is the Managing Director of Fly North Theatricals. As a songwriter and recording artist, he has released two EPs under the moniker Another White Suburbanite, "AWS" (2011), and "Counter Culture" (2012). He began acting in plays and musicals across the metro region in 2013, and garnered a Best Performance Award nomination from Arts For Life for his portrayal of Mr. Bungee in "A New Brain" with Hawthorne Players in 2019. He has worked as a production manager and stage manager for most of FNT’s productions, including “The Gringo” (2018), “Madam” (2020), and “Caroline, Or Change” (2023). He directed FNT’s production of “Assassins” (2022) for which he was awarded “Outstanding Director of A Musical” by the St. Louis Theater Circle. He is a co-host of Overarching, and co-owner of Greenfinch Theater & Dive.
